Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 14 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of Consumer Buddy ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What we provide

Consumer Buddy is a self-service tool that helps you draft a consumer complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, based on the information you provide. The Service produces a formatted document that you can file yourself on the eJagriti / eDaakhil portal.

2. Not legal advice

Consumer Buddy is a drafting aid, not a law firm, and does not provide legal advice or representation. The generated document is based solely on the facts you enter. For complex matters, please consult a qualified advocate. You are responsible for verifying all facts, dates, amounts, and legal citations before filing.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your login secure.

4. Pricing & payment

Drafting and previewing your complaint is free. To download the full document, you may purchase the watermarked PDF for ₹100 or the clean (no-watermark) PDF for ₹500, per complaint. Prices are in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely through our payment gateway.

5. Refunds

Our refund terms are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including submitting unlawful content, attempting to disrupt the Service, or using it to harass others. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

The document generated for you is yours to use for your own legal matter. The Service, including its software, templates, and branding, remains the property of Consumer Buddy.

8. Limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Consumer Buddy is not liable for the outcome of any legal proceedings, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts at [CITY — governing-law seat, to be added on business registration], India.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
